✦ Truck 59 Ciderhouse ✦

Rolled up to Truck 59 Ciderhouse on one of those golden West Kelowna afternoons where the air feels like honey and the lake looks unreal — too shiny, too calm, too perfect. The whole place has this effortlessly cool energy, all wood, glass, and sunshine — part rustic barn, part modern hangout, part “I could stay here all damn day.”

The air smells like apples and summer. The soundtrack? Laughter, soft music, the low hum of happy people on patios. It’s got that perfect local mix — tourists pretending they’re locals, locals pretending they’re not day-drinking on a Tuesday.

We grabbed a flight — lined up like little liquid jewels — golden to blush to deep amber. Each sip felt like a different mood. Crisp, tart, warm, wild. But the Bourbon Blackberry? That one hit deep. Sweet, smoky, like dessert with a secret. The kind of drink that makes you lean back and go, “Yeah, this is the one.

(Spoiler: it was sold out when I tried to buy a pack to take home — the heartbreak was real.)

Truck 59 is the kind of place that sneaks up on you. You come for a tasting and end up sitting there for hours, staring at the lake, talking about nothing and everything. The breeze moves through, and the whole world slows down to match it.

There’s a little firepit outside, and when the sun starts dipping, it all glows — the glass, the wood, the people. It’s magic in that quiet, simple way that West Kelowna does best.

By the time we left, my cheeks hurt from smiling, my phone was full of blurry sunset photos, and I was already planning my next trip back.

Mood: cider haze + golden hour
Vibe: flannel shirts, slow sips, laughter floating on the wind
Soundtrack: Bahamas, chatter, the soft clink of glasses
